Hi Tom, thank for your quick response. Maybe you have a chance to take a look at the oxygeneditor- or the dbeaver-plugin for eclipse. They have a driver configuration dialog, which allows you add beside the ojdbcX.jar additional library. It looks like that they provide them all to the eclipse plugin classloader (dynamically). If the user installed a oracle full-client (not instant) the necessary libraries will found at common locations: /jdbc/lib/ojdbc .jar /rdbms/jlib/xdb[Version].jar /lib/xml.jar /lib/xml.parserv2jar If the user has only an instant-client installed he will be allowed to download the libraries separately from the oracle website. If you provide a similar driver configuration, you will not have to include the libraries into the your plugin and you do not need to care about any licence issues. If multiple eclipse plugins use the oci driver instead of the thin one, they all try to load the oci native libraries into the same (eclipse) process and fail!
