Hi Lukas, First of all I have Kubuntu 13.04 and Kubuntu 13.10 and second, I had many (other) problems on 1.8.3 but it was usable, so reverting to the previouse version should let me do my work?? You wrote "use old eclipse etc. and because our Work log viewer still use html component" ... should I try the latest eclipse? thx   Michael On 10/24/2013 11:24 AM, Lukas wrote: RE: Exception on Query when forgot a simple "," in the select clouse Reply by Lukas Hi Michael, I am really sorry for the inconveniences you are experiencing and thank you for the patience and endurance and for feedback you are providing! This issue is re-appearing because the cause is in incompatible system libraries, which may appear upon any system update, use of old eclipse etc. and because our Work log viewer still uses html component, which causes the error to appear whenever there is any SQL error. For this reason I created CR # 2324 with Critical priority because the issue makes the plugin a real pain to use on the platform. See stackoverflow.com/.../16914590 or stackoverflow.com/.../open-eclipse-juno-with-error-no-more-handles-in-ubuntu-12-04 , where the issue is discussed and some hints provided. Michael, I will inform you upon fixing the issue/refactoring the view and I promise to push on this! Thank you! Regards, Lukas To reply, please reply-all to this email. Forum Post: Object Status not shown and Update from Database does nothing

I've imported Objects from an Oracle DB by drag and drop from the object explorer - works fine. When I change e.g. a stored procedure within Eclipse/Toad, "Store into Database and Compile" works fine as well. But when I change the stored procedure within Oracle SQL Developer and then use the "Update from Database" function, nothing happens! And there are no object status icons shown. Whats the problem? I use Windows 7, Eclipse Kepler SR 1 (Build id: 20130919-0819) and Toad 1.9.0.201310070822

It's me ... I have got Kbuntu 13.10 with Kernel 3.11.0-12 I was trying a new clean install ... I downloaded the latest Eclipse Standard 4.3.1 (Kepler) SR1 for Linux x64  http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/technology/epp/downloads/release/kepler/SR1/eclipse-standard-kepler-SR1-linux-gtk-x86_64.tar.gz&mirror_id=1039 By the way which version we shoult use: Eclipse Standard,  Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers or Eclipse IDE for Java Developers? I also downloaded the latest java version JAVA SE (JDK) 1.7.0_45 for 64bit Then I started eclipse for the first time and do a update, but there is nothing to upate. Then I installed TEE from marketplace choosing only CORE and ORACLE plugin. Then do a restart, and switched to Toad Extension View what opened the dialog for selecting my ojdbc driver. I downloaded the latest ojdbc7 driver from   http://download.oracle.com/otn/utilities_drivers/jdbc/121010/ojdbc7.jar  version 12.1.0.1 And selected it on the browse fild in the dialog, I tried to click OK on the mask ... BUT NOTHING happens, no error log or somehing else! see screenshot

Nice hearing from you again, Michael! Thanks for reporting! We tested immediately and found that this bug (TEE-2377) is reproducible on all platforms when only partial installation of plugins is run, no matter what eclipse version (3.7 - 4.3) or Java is used. Easy Workaround is: Close the dialog with Cancel. If you wish to set a new driver or check what driver version is set, go to Window | Preferences | Toad Extension | Database Specific Settings | Oracle Database. You can see that the driver found and displayed on the cancelled dialog is set here. Enjoy! Anyway, concerning the eclipse package to be used with Toad Extension, there are no specifications and no requirements, it's just up to you! We test on various packages and try to cover them all. Thanks again for reporting this issue and we are looking forward to your (our) next bugs :) Regards, Lukas

Michael, there definitely are bugs in the tool, but we are working on it intensely with focus on removing as many issues as possible rather than adding new features currently. Anyway, the above issue is by it's nature a problem of incompatible software, mostly of eclipse installed from other sources than the official repositories. And the problem is that the state of the issue may change and changes with updates to either eclipse, Linux or other default software and the pattern is not possible to be tested. Regards, Lukas

Hi Yoann, will investigate a bit in it but it seems as a problem between Ruby's breakpoints management and our plugin. I will update you. Thanks for reporting! Regards, Lukas

Lukas, I confirm what I said that saving the workbench somewhere, then closing it and reopening the saved file make the NPE error disappear, but... then, when a compilation error occurs, I have to click first on the result pane and back in the edit pane to be able to use the shortcuts (to execute, get the explain plan...) Hope you will find a solution. btw, it was a long time i didn't used TEE, and I'm really happy of the improvements ;-)

Forum Post: New Version ... new bugs ... still not usable

I update to 1.9.1 on kepler with a nearly untouched system .... * created a new connection * connected to the db * opened a table but the table is EMPTY  as you can see the data view es WHITE as you can see the the SQL Problems View is only BLACK and as you can see no ERROR MESSAGE on dialog pane, also no column names ... then I tried this * open worksheet and do the select on the same table,  in the result pane is a table with rows and column but the table is total empty. Then after clicking a little there and a little there and redo the select and launching the query several times the result appears then i tried this in the Object Explorer  I cklicked only on the right arrow for opening the tree (expanding tree), I don't selecting nothing! And whats happening: without selecting something i switched from my Worksheet to an empty "DETAIL TAB" I'm not sure if I should go ahead with testing it .... the first three things I have done doesn't works ....
